UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Eclat’s sustainability blueprint

We leverage our vertical integration capabilities, corporate governance, and innovation to develop a sustainable blueprint for our business and to make an impact. We formulate governance strategies and policies and map out our progress of urgent material indicators against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Global Compact Ten Principles. Eclat identified four significant sustainable developments in our company’s strategy, combined with SDGs and 10 Principles, through the lens of ESG; environmental, social, and governance, including equality, innovation, and partnerships.

Products and services

Eclat is a leading provider of innovative knitwear materials and garments, contributing to several of the UN’s SDGs, including Good Health and Well-being, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, Responsible Consumption and Production, and Climate Action. We are committed to promoting health and wellbeing, supporting economic growth, driving innovation and infrastructure development, promoting responsible consumption and production, and taking action on climate change through our products and services.

Environmental stewardship

In 2022, we boosted five energy-saving and carbon-reduction projects. Since implementation, our Material Division has increased 1,650,000 kWh of clean energy. We reduced 3018.63 tons of CO2 equivalent carbon emissions per year. In addition, our water-saving KPIs for the Material Division save 13.9% water per kilogram of product. The water recycling rate of our Vietnam fabric factory reaches 26.13%.

The chemicals we use are bluesign® system approved. Moreover, nine of our existing chemical and waste disposal treatment partners and one new company passed our independent audits to help lead chemical management as our new collective treatment partners.

Social impact

We want to create more local jobs, help communities thrive, and bring economic value. Under the same conditions, Eclat is an equal opportunity employer with 100% gender pay equity. At the end of each year, respective supervisors provide education and training sessions for the employees, reflecting the needs of the related units and staff.

In 2019, we launched Eclat eAcademy. A self-learning environment for employees with unrestricted access to learning. The platform had an average of 17.69 hours spent on our courses per person the following year. At Eclat, we encourage each facility to promote well-being, exercise, form clubs, and organize events reflective of the needs of its employees.
